Changing the Status Quo

This BLOG is all about changing the Status Quo.  That is, moving our thinking from a Fixed Mindset to a Growth Mindset (as coined and researched by Dr Carol Dweck), moving away from “Groupthink” to a truly collaborative Growth Mindest.  It’s about creativty and not accepting that “Genius” is something that you’re born with, but rather it’s a process, a combination of  Genes X Environment. (See David Shenk, “The Genius in All of  Us.”) It’s about learning, education and thus, growth!  It’s about individual learning and education, and how that extends to our schools which unfortunately over time have been negatively influenced by the Fixed Mindset and Groupthink.  It’s about working ‘with’ kids, rather than “doing to” as Alfie Kohn as so convincingly argued.
